OPERATIONS
Southport Maritime Operations Department Consists of:
TERRY WHITEHEAD
She is one of the original members of Southport and manager of our Operations Department. She has developed this
department into one of the best and well respected Operations group in the industry. Additional responsibilities
include office manager as well as overseeing all post-fixture activity.
MICHAEL D. CHRISTIANSEN
Graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Marine Transportation. He joins Southport with over 19 years experience in the Chartering
and Operations Departments with Scanports Shipping Inc. (Phibro Energy), Emerald Shipping Corporation (Tosco) and
General Maritime Management LLC.
SCOTT WEBER
Joined the Operations Department in 2007 and also assists in other tasks within the department.
JEANETTE VAZQUEZ
Joined the Operations Department in 2005 and is responsible for all
demurrage and other claims.
JENNIFER SMITH
She is the newest member of the Southport team and is responsible for Charter Parties. She attended the
Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College with a concentration in Psychology.
