OPERATIONS
Southport Maritime Operations Department Consists of:
TERRY WHITEHEAD
She is one of the original members of Southport and manager of our Operations Department. She has developed this
department into one of the best and well respected Operations group in the industry. Additional responsibilities
include office manager as well as overseeing all post-fixture activity.
MICHAEL D. CHRISTIANSEN
Graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Marine Transportation. He joins Southport with over 19 years experience in the Chartering
and Operations Departments with Scanports Shipping Inc. (Phibro Energy), Emerald Shipping Corporation (Tosco) and
General Maritime Management LLC.
MARC COPPLE
Joined Southport Maritime March 2, 2009. He has 14 years of
experience in the oil industry with past history of Assistant Trading and
Operations at Veba Oil (1995 - 2002) and helped establish and run clean oil
operations for Lukoil (USA) from the company's start in 2002.
JEANETTE VAZQUEZ
Joined the Operations Department in 2005 and is responsible for all
demurrage and other claims.

CHERYLL R. PLOTKIN
Cheryll joined Southport Maritime in January 2010 with over eighteen years of corporate financial management
experience in the South Florida area, and marketing experience in Florida and the Boston area. She is a graduate of
Beloit College (Wisconsin), and Boston University.
